One of the best-kept secrets in the bodybuilding community today is the anabolic effects of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are very powerful and very anabolic. For maximum physique development, add essential fatty acids (EFAs) to your diet to manipulate prostaglandin production.

Prostaglandins are derived from essential fatty acids. Like water, protein and resistance training, EFAs are essential for muscle growth and to sustain health. If you don’t get them from your diet, your body will deteriorate.

Some prostaglandins keep you healthy and prevent disease. Others are critical to your body’s reaction to stress, such as training, or injury. There are three classes of prostaglandins.

Series 1 prostaglandins promote performance. They’re highly anabolic (help build muscle), they’re thermogenic (help burn fat), they increase sodium and water clearance by the kidneys and they prevent blood clots.
